VOD offers a fast, safe, and non-invasive way to measure blood oxygen saturation levels in the legs and arms.Currently there is no current detection method to find a vaso-occulsive crisis.The Average annual cost ranges from $10,000-$15,000 per person with one hospital stay. The team has developed diagnostic tools for caregivers of persons with sickle cell disease.
