Nanogaia was founded in 2010, and is led by Dr. Mark Decoster, a professor of biomedical engineering at Louisiana Tech University. The technology developed by the company allows researchers the ability to grow normal and cancerous cells in 3D structure. The company has secured multiple grants, including the Louisiana Board of Regents award and the LA-I6 award from Louisiana Tech’s Proof of Concept Center.

The company products focus on simplicity of design, and it is expected that these products will be commercially important for not only cancer research, but also for tissue engineering.
