Idea generation: what can you do right now?

The final post of a 3-part series from Kathy Wyatt, Director of the Enterprise Center

This week, we have talked about the importance of creating new, original ideas. We have shared additional resources and inspirational stories from others who have succeeded by taking risks with new ideas.
Now, we extend to you an opportunity to participate in the idea generation process yourself.

Tell Us Your Ideas

From Wednesday, September 13, through Sunday, September 17, we at Louisiana Tech Innovation Enterprise are accepting online submissions for our “Doggone Good Idea” event. Big or small, crazy or well-planned, no matter what the subject matter, we want to hear your ideas to make the world a better place!
Simply follow this link to complete the quick submission process.
No type of idea is too “outside the box” to be considered, so don’t hesitate
to give it a shot!

“Doggone Good” Idea Mixer & Awards

On Tuesday, September 19 at 6 p.m. in the Robert H. Rawle Enterprise Center at 509 W. Alabama, our favorite submissions will have the opportunity to talk about their ideas with a panel of experts at our “Doggone Good” Idea Mixer & Awards night, as well as a chance to win cash prizes!
Whether you submitted an idea or not, everyone is invited to attend the event Tuesday night, where you can:
  • Meet and interact with like-minded idea generators
  • Enjoy free pizza
  • Hear more about the ideas being presented
  • Vote for your favorite ideas
  • Hear a presentation by Kirk St. Amant on what makes a good idea
If your idea submission is chosen to be presented Tuesday night, you will have the chance to win one of two $100 cash prizes! One will be chosen by our judges, and the other will be chosen by the audience in attendance.
Whether you have a great idea to share, or you’d just like to hear what’s going on in the minds of north Louisiana’s forward thinkers, come out Tuesday night to the “Doggone Good” Idea Mixer & Awards night.
