ACDC - Art without Walls

May 5, 2017, 6:00pm - May 5, 2017, 9:00pm

ACDC – Art without Walls will be held Friday, May 5th at the Enterprise Center Gallery. The Enterprise Center Gallery in partnership with Lincoln Parish ACHIEVE lead an art outreach program every year for twenty fifth grade students from Cypress Spring Elementary and Ruston Elementary School called ACDC. The program is designed to expose young students to various forms of art making and contemporary art education, but more importantly the students cultivate creative problem solving skills, higher levels of complex thinking in terms of concept and design, positive and constructive peer to peer critique, and effective collaboration skills. In preparation for this exhibit the students have had to discuss and think about what it takes to be a professional artist and explore the many growing, viable career options that are available to visual artist. The students are excited to present their work to a greater audience and we would be delighted to see community come to this even and support these budding young artists. This exhibit will kick off iwth an opening reception Friday, May 5th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Enterprise Center through Friday, May 12th. This event is free and open to the public. For more information please contact Enterprise Center Gallery Director, Hannah Bustamante at 257-5281 or visit www.latechinnovation.org.
